  • Google Apps for Education hits 10 million user milestone. ZDNet Education blog by Christopher Dawson. Online October 2010.  “In the last four years we’ve seen a lot of changes, both to our tools and the general landscape of cloud computing in higher education. According to the 2010 Campus Computing survey, nearly 85% of four-year colleges and universities are already using or considering the move to the cloud by offering hosted email to their students. Of the schools that have already made the move, more than 56% of them have gone Google.”

(GW Note: I have always been a huge fan of Google's Apps for Education, available in many languages with high usefulness to teachers and students. They keep enriching it, almost daily.)
